Manufacturing

Each frame is the fruit of meticulous craftsmanship and a passion for excellence. In our factory, more than 30 steps are required to create a unique, high-quality frame. However, we have selected the 10 essential stages to show you how a frame is created. From initial design to finishing and shipping, discover the secrets of our exceptional craftsmanship.

Machining

Machining the acetate sheet is a fundamental stage in the manufacture of our frames. Starting with a sheet of raw material, we use high-tech machines to cut out the shape of the face and temples with precision. This process ensures exact contours & perfect symmetry, laying the foundations for a frame of superior quality.

Nose grooving

This operation involves milling the inner bridge of the frame to improve comfort. Carried out with precision, the grooving ensures that the frame rests perfectly on the nose, offering optimum, comfortable support all day long.

Barrels

The barrel production phase is crucial to the manufacture of our spectacle frames. After cutting, the frames are placed in large barrels, filled with wood shavings & logs of various sizes. This stage, which can last several days, softens the contours of the frames & gives them a smooth, even finish. The result is a perfectly polished frame, ready for the rest of the manufacturing process.

Shaping the face

After machining, the face is heated and gently curved to fit the contours of the face perfectly. This step gives the frame its ergonomic curvature, guaranteeing optimum comfort and a natural fit for every wearer.

Inlaying the hinges

The hinges, the metal parts that allow the temples to articulate, are precisely inserted into the face. This operation guarantees a solid, durable fit, ensuring the frame's robustness and longevity while allowing the temples to open and close smoothly.

Angled temples

Bevelling the temples of an optical frame involves connecting & positioning the temples correctly on the face of the glasses. This operation also enables the frame to be adjusted more precisely, contributing to better adaptation to the face. This phase is crucial to ensuring that the optical lenses fit properly and that the glasses are comfortable to wear.

Polishing

After machining & bevelling, each frame is meticulously polished to obtain a smooth & shiny surface. This operation, carried out using specialised tools and artisanal techniques, eliminates imperfections and enhances the quality and aesthetics of the material, guaranteeing an impeccable finish and a pleasant feel.

Engraving

Engraving is an essential stage in the personalisation of our eyewear frames. Accurately & meticulously crafted, it allows us to add unique details such as phrases or initials to the inner right temple of the frames. This meticulous technique adds a personalised & distinguished touch to each frame, reflecting our commitment to quality & personalised style for our customers.

Refurbishing

Refurbishing of frames is a meticulous stage in our manufacturing process. It involves meticulously inspecting each frame to ensure its quality & finish. Any necessary adjustments are made with precision to ensure a perfect result & optimum comfort for the wearer. This final stage ensures that each frame meets the high standards of quality & aesthetics that we are committed to offering our customers.

Quality control

We have rigorous quality controls in place to ensure that every pair of glasses you receive is exactly what you expect. These meticulous processes allow us to detect & correct any defects before delivery, ensuring your satisfaction.
